David Knopfler & Harry Bogdanovs

40th Anniversary Tour 2017

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of David Knopfler’s musical career we are planning several exceptional duo concerts for 2017.

The 40th Anniversary Tour 2017 will be a celebration of David Knopfler's entire solo musical career and will include guest appearances by old friends and fellow musicians. Special guest Harry Bogdanovs will appear with David Knopfler on stage again.

In 1977 David Knopfler founded the legendary rock group Dire Straits. Along with
brother Mark Knopfler he went on to achieve worldwide stardom and acclaim. Since his departure from Dire Straits, David has enjoyed a successful solo career as a singer-songwriter, releasing over a dozen albums and performing in sold out concerts around the globe.

Harry Bogdanovs’ career also includes playing and recording with legendary artists. The multi-instrumentalist has collected a number of hits and useful working experience in projects with artists as diverse as John Farnham, Elton John, The Shadows and Marius Müller-Westernhagen. The early eighties already saw the beginning of what would prove to be, enduring teamwork between David Knopfler and Harry Bogdanovs.

In September 2016 David Knopfler releases a new double CD named ''Anthology Volumes 2 and 3''. The forthcoming release will include several previously unreleased tracks from material written as early as 40 years ago, to new previously unperformed songs.
